Once upon a time, home-made wine was sweet, in fact the grapes were dried before starting the winemaking process. Today, Sagrantino Passito is a niche product: from a kilo of fresh grapes you get 400gr. after having dried them for 3 months.
The choice of Sagrantino Passito is particularly significant, as it represents the link with the tradition of the territory. In fact, it must be remembered that Sagrantino historically originated as a passito wine.
History of the Cellar
"In 1992 Omero, a passionate and idealistic farmer, decided to switch to organic farming: a choice experienced as a lifestyle, both by him and by his entire family. Omero's worker's hands, the round and cheerful face of Daniela, the friendliness of their two daughters, Giusy and Lucia, are their way of being remembered: a genuineness that conquers anyone who has the opportunity to meet them.
