The Winery’s Story
Palazzone is a place where time seems to slow down. For fifty years, we have cultivated the land and transformed our grapes into wines that tell Orvieto’s story: distinctive, deep wines capable of evolving over time and preserving the essence of a unique place. Here, nature surrounds you. The estate extends over 24 hectares of hillside vineyards, a mosaic changing colour with every season. Walk among old vines and varieties with a long history, from traditional Orvieto grapes to international varieties such as Sauvignon, essential to our noble rot wine, and Viognier, among the first planted in Italy. At Palazzone, every visit is an encounter with the area: the Grotta del Musco excavated in Etruscan times and the panoramic terrace of Locanda Palazzone within an extraordinary historic building, at the meeting point of Umbria, Tuscany and Tuscia.
