Sagrantino Lovers is a tailor-made experience to delve into all the facets of Sagrantino, the prince of Montefalco grapes.
The experience will begin inside the exclusive Enoteca Monte della Torre where, accompanied by a Wine Educator, you will have the opportunity to enter the world of this historic native vine, discover stories and anecdotes of the company that rediscovered it and elevated it to a global level, transforming Montefalco into one of the most important winemaking centers in Italy. Your sensory journey will begin with a tasting of the first Metodo Classico Plus Noir label. Subsequently, the itinerary will wind between the outside and inside of the cellar, covering all the phases of the production process. The discovery of the barrel cellar will be accompanied by a tasting of the “Cuvée Secrète” label, a white wine made from the best white grapes of the estate,
with an olfactory spectrum developed thanks to a rapid passage in French oak.
The reserved access located in the barrel cellar will take you back to the suggestive rooms of the Enoteca Monte della Torre where you can taste our wines comfortably seated. A journey that will transport you to an exclusive multisensory dimension, that of the Sagrantino crus and its passito expression. In combination, a refined selection of typical products of Umbrian gastronomy served on refined local ceramics.
The Winery’s Story
Casale di Grello and its magnificent surrounding farmland have become Tenuta dei Mori, a charming relais and agricultural estate welcoming events and wine travellers from around the world. The 19th-century main house has been restored and converted into an agriturismo, respecting the original architecture typical of Umbrian farms. Every restoration was carried out with particular care in the choice of materials and local craftspeople. The family has always paid close attention to sustainability and respect for this place. The entire property is powered by solar panels, while the garden, vegetable plot and orchard are irrigated from a lake collecting rainwater.
