The Winery’s Story
Tenuta Bossi, owned by the Gondi family since 1592, has always been famous for its wine. Located on the wooded hills north-east of Florence, in the heart of Chianti Rufina, a wine-growing area famous since Etruscan times. This gem is located in a vineyard valley, among the hills 18 km from Florence, between 200 and 400 meters above sea level. The company extends for 315 hectares of which 19 hectares of vineyards and 32 of olive groves, as well as cereals and woods . The majestic Renaissance villa, which dominates the valley with its monumental park and cellars, has been restored and modified in the centuries following its purchase. Next to the villa, a church with three altars was built by Antonino Gondi.
