A tasting of 5 representative wines, organic and natural, accompanied by typical products, followed by a visit to the vineyards in Lizzano
The Ars Vinifera experience at the De Quarto winery will allow you to delve into the world of Salento wines and visit the vineyards where De Quarto wines are born.
After an introduction to the history of the winery and the production methods, your wine tasting will take place inside the charming wine shop of the winery. The tasting includes 5 different wines, each one an expression of the territory and the winery's winemaking style, the first 3 to choose from the white Folium, the rosé Corallium, the red Primitivo Lutum and the red Negroamaro Bellicum, the last 2 to choose from the long macerations: the white Kairós, the Primitivo Dionysos and the Negroamaro Tarantula. Each wine will be paired with a local product, such as focaccia, frese, cheeses and cured meats.
All De Quarto production is organic and natural, with a focus on quality and respect for the traditional winemaking style. After the wine tasting, if you are interested, you will have the opportunity to visit the estate's vineyards located in the nearby municipality of Lizzano (about 10 km away). If there are 4 of you, a member of the De Quarto family will accompany you, otherwise you will have to follow them with your own car. During hot days, we recommend that you bring what you deem necessary. The vineyard tour lasts about 45 minutes, including travel time. The experience will be led personally by a member of the De Quarto family, who will tell you about the peculiarities of the grape varieties, the history of the vineyards and the local winemaking processes, with a particular focus on organic and natural methods.
