History of the Cellar
"Cantina Guerrieri is a historic winery located in Puglia, one of the most important regions for wine production in Italy. Its history began in 1950, when the Guerrieri family, with a long agricultural tradition, decided to dedicate themselves to winemaking, exploiting the wine-growing potential of the Puglia region. The company is located in the Castellaneta area, in the province of Taranto, in the heart of the Terra delle Gravine, an area characterized by a warm and sunny climate, ideal for the cultivation of native grapes such as Primitivo and Nero di Troia. Over the years, the winery has distinguished itself for its commitment to the quality of its wines and for the adoption of modern winemaking techniques, while respecting the traditions of the territory. The Guerrieri family has worked to enhance the native Apulian vines, trying to best express the characteristics of the territory, such as the calcareous soil and the presence of favorable winds. Cantina Guerrieri wines are known for their balance and elegance, with a production that ranges from structured and full-bodied red wines to fresh and aromatic white wines. The winery has also invested in innovative technologies, to improve the winemaking processes and the aging in barrels, while always maintaining a strong link with tradition."
