The Cadetto route is designed for those who are approaching Castorani wines for the first time. This route includes an external visit to the estate, an internal visit to the cellar and a tasting of 3 wines belonging to the Cadetto line, accompanied by selected appetizers.
The Winery’s Story
"The Castorani winery was founded in 1793. It is located in an ancient villa in the municipality of Alanno, which at the time belonged to the Castorani family, from which it takes its name. It was originally a noble residence built in an area famous for wine production. The Castorani family in fact dedicated themselves to viticulture, taking advantage of the favourable climatic conditions and fertile lands of the area. In the 90s, after a period of decline, the estate was purchased and restored by entrepreneurs and wine enthusiasts including Jarno Trulli (former Formula 1 driver). Under the new management, the winery experienced a rebirth: cutting-edge winemaking methods were introduced while maintaining respect for tradition. Cantina Castorani is also famous for its sustainable approach to viticulture, for its attention to biodiversity and the environment. In recent years, Cantina Castorani has obtained numerous awards both in Italy and abroad, establishing itself as one of the leading wineries in Abruzzo."
