A love story
Under the castles of Romeo and Juliet, in the Montecchio Maggiore area, just outside Vicenza, one expects to discover anything except a classic method sparkling wine, yes, the good one, made sparkling in the bottle, the Italian Champagne, so to speak.

And instead Marco Caltran with Alberto and Isidoro Maccagnan here on the last spurs of Lessinia, have set up a small winery that does just that: sparkling wine, classic bubbles. Mario Caltran, Marco's father, who passed away in 1997, had bought the land and planted the vineyards to make sparkling wine, to drink at home, with friends, to love each other.
