"Tenuta Torciano, currently celebrating its 301st year as a premium winery, was founded in 1720 when the family of original Giachi owner Bartolomeo Giachi passed down the art of winemaking to his son Emanuele, who in turn passed the skills on to his son Gaetano, then to his son Angelo, then to Alfredo Romano and finally to Pierluigi Giachi. Today, Tenuta Torciano is run by Pierluigi Giachi, from his wife Luciana and their sons Emanuele and Vittoria. This is the 13th generation of the Giachi family in the wine business and is an international luxury winery specializing in fine wines from an established Tuscan wine region as well as emerging wine regions."
